Share After the first two rounds of competition, three franchises have announced changes to their squads. Team Bath have replaced Jazz Scott with Nicole Humphrys, while Lynsey Armitage came in as a last minute replacement for Lisa Bowman for Team Northumbria just before Super Saturday. Celtic Dragons have also made a switch, bringing in Clare Jones to replace Cathy Bastian in their centre court. To introduce you to our new Vitality Netball Superleague players, we’ve put together a profile of each to make sure you’re clued up ahead of this weekend’s Round 3 action! TEAM BATH: Name: Nicole Humphrys Position: WD/C/GD Social media: @NicoleFleur Replacing: Jazz Scott University of Bath student Humphrys is hoping to make her Superleague debut this season after being included in the Team Bath short squad for the first time. Humphrys, who is studying Sport Science, plays for the University of Bath in the British Universities & Colleges Sport [BUCS] League. She had previously represented Hertfordshire Mavericks in the National Performance League (NPL) and was selected for the England U19 Netball Europe long squad in 2014. CELTIC DRAGONS: Name: Clare Jones Position: WD/C Social media: @ClareJones03 Replacing: Cathy Bastian Jones played for Exeter University Netball Club whilst studying Psychology. She now works at the Central Clinic in Swansea and Cefn Coed Hospital in Swansea as a Mental Health Strategy Support Officer. Clare also represented England in the British Universities Championships in 2012. TEAM NORTHUMBRIA: Name: Lynsey Armitage Position: GS Social media: @loopylynsey19 Replacing: Lisa Bowman The former England, Mavericks and Northern Thunder player was drafted into the Team Northumbria squad to become their oldest ever player. Armitage came out of retirement to play out one more Vitality Netball Superleague season alongside her full-time job as an account manager for global shipping firm Cardinal Maritime. She featured in her first game for Northumbria just three hours after meeting her new team-mates!
