Share Emma Dovey has been selected as Manchester Thunder captain for the 2017 Superleague season. Read on for the full Manchester Thunder release: The defender will be supported by co-vice captains Kerry Almond and Kathryn Turner. Dovey is one of Thunder’s most experienced players, and takes the reigns from long-term skipper Sara Bayman, who has signed for New Zealand side Central Pulse. She will lead a 12-strong squad brimming with youth and experience, which includes Jamaican international Marvadene Anderson and Silver Fern Liana Leota.
