Share Affectionately nicknamed ‘the pocket rocket’ by her teammates, Mia Ritchie is the 5’4 queen of the centre court for Team Bath. Over the course of her netball career, Ritchie has been a World University Championships winner, Superleague champion with Team Bath (2013) and a U19 national club champion. She is a proven winner and is now one of Team Bath’s longest-serving players, with 2017 her seventh Superleague season in the Blue and Gold. Ritchie was also part of the 2016 leadership group supporting captain Eboni Beckford-Chambers – watch this space for 2017. Her proudest moment in netball came in 2012 when she won the first of her six senior England caps against Barbados as the Sports Training Village. She has a degree in Sports Performance from the University of Bath and in her time there won the British Universities and Colleges Sport title in 2012. As previously mentioned she also helped Great Britain win the first ever World University Championships in South Africa later that year. Away from the court, Ritchie teaches Physical Education at Monkton Combe School in Bath. The 2016 Vitality Netball Superleague season highlighted Ritchie’s excellence in the mid-court as she regularly put out consistent performances – 2017 proves to be an exciting one for this loyal and talented Team Bath athlete.
