Share Surrey Storm and England U21 shooter Rhea Dixon has confirmed that she will be featuring for the senior squad this season. Read the full Storm press release below: The young shooter re-signs this season after committing her near future to Guildford and starting a degree at the University of Surrey, already having a huge impact on court for Team Surrey in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) leagues. Rhea was also confirmed as being part of the England U21 Netball World Youth Cup long squad earlier this month, following their impressive title in at the Netball Europe tournament in Cardiff. Should she make the final cut, she will travel with the rest of the Roses squad to Botswana early in the New Year. Dixon was part of the Storm NPL side who narrowly lost out on the league title last season to Manchester Thunder, but was also present in the Superleague squad to train alongside her more experienced counterparts. After signing, Dixon said: “I’m super excited to make the step up to Storm Superleague this season and develop my game alongside this exciting group of girls.” Rhea joins Mikki Austin, Georgia Lees, Katy Holland, Yasmin Parsons and Naida Hutchinson in the squad so far. More announcements will be made later this week.
