Share Two of this week’s clashes will kick off this evening in Round 8 of the Vitality Netball Superleague. First up Team Bath will be looking to secure an important win following last week’s loss, which saw them fall from a top-four spot. The blue and gold will welcome Manchester Thunder, who enjoyed a fifth consecutive win in Round 7 that saw them leapfrog Bath in the table. Unbeaten in away games and fresh from a key victory against Storm, Wasps will want to impress fans tonight as they take on Celtic Dragons at the Ricoh Arena. Having toppled the 2016 champions and last week’s league leaders, Wasps will be keen to continue this form at home. Yet to secure a win this season, Dragons have everything to play for in what will be a tough battle for the Welsh side. On Saturday Surrey Storm will be eager to come back fighting and make up for their first loss of the season as they travel to Scotland to take on Sirens. After their triumph against Team Bath last week, Sirens will be fighting for another win at home as they look towards the top-four spots. Two teams who are neck and neck on six points each will face off on Saturday evening as Hertfordshire Mavericks host Severn Stars. With five wins and two losses each, both sides will be looking to clinch their sixth triumph. With a home crowd to spur them on, former champions Mavericks will want to show they are still in the running this year. After their seventh consecutive win, Loughborough Lightning secured the number one spot and are now the only undefeated side of the season so far. The team in purple will be feeling confident sitting three points clear of the rest and will be determined to stay there. Welcoming Lightning on Saturday evening will be Team Northumbria. Following their first win of the season, the hosts will need to give everything against Lightning as the Round 8 action comes to a close.
