Vitality Netball Super League

With just two round remaining in the 2017 Vitality Netball Superleague, there are still four teams in the running to make Finals weekend but one must miss out.

Sitting in the box seat are Wasps Netball who currently occupy second place in the table, although they will be frustrated at missing out on qualifying after a loss to Surrey Storm in Round 16.

On Saturday they come up against Celtic Dragons and will be heavy favourites to finally seal their place in the semi-finals.

The Welsh side have stuttered in recent weeks despite producing some resilient displays and the visitors will be all out to take the win.

Two of the sides chasing them come together in a titanic tussle on Monday night LIVE in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

Manchester Thunder need one more win to seal their place in the Final Four while Team Bath sit six points behind their opponents and level with Storm, who play Sirens two days earlier.

If Storm are able to clinch a home win, the pressure would be huge on the blue and gold as they look to dent Thunder’s hopes while keeping up their own challenge.

Having seen their top four hopes ended last week, Sirens will be keen to close out their campaign as strongly as possible and would relish the opportunity to have their say on the Final Four race.

After Round 16 results went their way, Loughborough Lightning can celebrate finishing top of the regular season table and they will be in confident mood ahead of their visit of Team Northumbria.

The Newcastle-based team are marooned in ninth place, unable to catch up to those above and six points clear of the Dragons.

Round 17 gets underway on Friday night as Severn Stars welcome Hertfordshire Mavericks with the two sides locked together on 15 points.
