Share England Netball star George Fisher has signed for benecosMavericks for the 2019 Vitality Netball Superleague season. George Fisher began her netball career with Mavericks Youth U19 NPL squad when she was 13 and made her VNSL debut in the 2015/16 season. Following two title-winning seasons with Wasps Netball, George is returning home to benecosMavericks. George will also shortly be joining the England Roses squad in New Zealand for the Fast5 competition and in Jamaica for the upcoming test series against the Sunshine Girls. George had this to say about returning to benecosMavericks: “I’m really excited about coming back to Mavericks as it is the place where I started my netball career and where I realised netball was a true passion of mine. “It’s always been like home for me as I started playing here when I was only 13.” “I have loved my last two years at Wasps and have learnt so much about my sport, winning two Vitality Netball Superleague titles was amazing and it was incredible to be part of the start of something but I feel now is the right time for me to be coming home and I’m excited about what this season could bring.” George scored almost 600 goals in the 2018 VNSL season and benecosMavericks’ Director of Netball, Kathryn Ratnapala is excited about what she can bring to the team: “I’m absolutely thrilled that George has made the decision to come home to Mavericks. “She has always been a star in our eyes and we are excited to get her back into the purple and black dress and out onto court as quickly as possible.” Related news video 17th Sep 2024 Newly branded London Mavericks announce team for the new season Reading: 0 mins Tags: benecosMavericks George Fisher VNSL2019 Previous Story Beckford-Chambers and Ritchie back in Blue & Gold Next Story Kathryn Turner returns to Manchester Thunder More News 20th Dec 2024 wpforms Event Accreditation – Netball Super League – Super Cup 2025 Reading: 6 mins 16th Dec 2024 News Manchester Thunder announce leadership team for 2025 Reading: 3 mins 6th Dec 2024 News The Netball Super League introduces the two-goal Super Shot ahead of new rules and innovations for the 2025 season Reading: 4 mins 25th Nov 2024 News Catching up with Nottingham Forest Netball’s Rhea Dixon as she makes her international debut Reading: 6 mins 21st Nov 2024 News Netball Super League confirms new Board of Directors to lead the League into the new era of professionalisation Reading: 4 mins More Google Ad – MPU – Right Column
