Share Severn Stars netball club is delighted to announce the arrival of Lucy Harris for her first season with the club. The 22-year-old mid-court star, who last year won the Vitality Netball Superleague with Wasps Netball, has been confirmed as the team’s first new player to sign for the 2019 campaign. Severn Stars athlete, Lucy Harris, said: “I am really looking forward to meeting all my new team mates and coaching staff and am ready to see what we can pull together this season. “I really pushed myself last year and developed a lot of mental resilience and I’m ready to bring that to my new team. I think the Severn Stars’ style of being fast paced suits me well and am excited to step out on court.” Lucy’s competitive career was kick-started in 2012 when she won national school championships in her U16 team. Since then she has gone on to represent the England U19s squad in the 2014 Glasgow Tour and last year won the 2018 Vitality Netball Superleague with Wasps Netball. She will be joining fellow athletes Jodie Gibson and Iona Darroch, who have been with the club, a joint franchise between the University of Worcester and University of Gloucestershire, since its inaugural season in 2017. Severn Stars’ Head Coach, Sam Bird, said: “Lucy is a fantastic addition to our squad in the mid court. She’s a hardworking, rapid middie and has the flair that suits our Severn Stars style.” Related news gallery 21st Aug 2024 3rd/4th Play Off - Severn Stars vs London Pulse Tags: Lucy Harris Severn Stars VNSL2019 Previous Story Sophie Drakeford-Lewis back in Blue & Gold for 2019 Next Story Sharni Layton to represent Storm at British Fast5 All-Stars More News 20th Dec 2024 wpforms Event Accreditation – Netball Super League – Super Cup 2025 Reading: 6 mins 16th Dec 2024 News Manchester Thunder announce leadership team for 2025 Reading: 3 mins 6th Dec 2024 News The Netball Super League introduces the two-goal Super Shot ahead of new rules and innovations for the 2025 season Reading: 4 mins 25th Nov 2024 News Catching up with Nottingham Forest Netball’s Rhea Dixon as she makes her international debut Reading: 6 mins 21st Nov 2024 News Netball Super League confirms new Board of Directors to lead the League into the new era of professionalisation Reading: 4 mins More Google Ad – MPU – Right Column
