In the build-up to the Grand Final, fans from around the country have been voting in their thousands to choose the Vitality Netball Superleague 2019 Fans’ Player of the Year.

A list of 10 nominees was compiled highlighting players who have excelled on court and have caught the eye of their peers, coaches, the press and, of course, the fans.

The nominees were:

Nat Panagarry – Loughborough Lightning

Joyce Mvula – Manchester Thunder

Chiara Semple – London Pulse

Sigi Burger – Surrey Storm

Emma Barrie – Strathclyde Sirens

Kalifa McCollin – Celtic Dragons

Razia Quashie – Saracens Mavericks

Sophie Drakeford-Lewis – Team Bath Netball

Fran Williams – Wasps Netball

After four days of voting, the poll closed and the votes have been counted and verified…

Congratulations to Joyce Mvula of Manchester Thunder who has been named VNSL 2019 Fans’ Player of the Year!

An exciting shooter, she has great physical capabilities and has posed a real threat to all the defences she has faced in 2019. The Malawi international scored 558 goals in the regular season and has averaged an impressive 90% shooting accuracy across the season.
