Saracens Mavericks have announced the signings of Jamaican shooting sensation Jhaniele Fowler and defender Ama Agbeze for this month’s British Fast5 All-Star Championship.

At 6ft 6inches and with a superb range of shooting, Fowler will add a real threat to Mavericks’ attack at the tournament on Saturday 12 October.

The goal shooter, who has represented Jamaica 56 times, is currently contracted to West Coast Fever and has a wealth of international experience and achievements, including two Commonwealth Games bronze medals.

Agbeze returned to the Vitality Netball Superleague in 2019 with new franchise London Pulse and will also featured for Kat Ratnapala’s team

Commonwealth Games gold medal-winning captain Agbeze will add experience, strength and resilience to Mavericks’ defence as last year’s runners-up bid to go one step further.

Sasha Corbin will lead the side alongside sister Kadeen, whilst Georgia Lees, Jo Trip, Beth Ecuyer-Dale, Paige McCalla, Steph Collard and new signing Chloe Essam will also represent Mavericks in the third staging of the event.

The other All-Stars already confirmed for the tournament are Jo Harten, Erin Bell, Alyssa-Jean Savelio, Leana De Bruin, Takondwa Lwazi and Stacey Francis.

It promises to be an incredible day of action with some of the world’s best players heading to the Copper Box Arena for the scintillating Fast5 action.

There are only a handful of tickets remaining so be quick to avoid disappointment! Book your tickets here.
