Share Severn Stars have announced an exciting new partnership with international sportswear brand Kukri Sports. The brand will be providing Severn Stars with all competition and leisurewear for its Vitality Netball Superleague squad in the coming season. They will also provide the same for the franchise’s Under 21s, Under 19s and Under 17s, squads in the National Performance League, and Stars’ 10 Nova Academy squads, which help progress younger talent in the region. In addition, Kukri Sports will provide a full online and retail offering for fans, supporting pop up retail at matches and events. It is a four-year deal and the new kit will start to be revealed in November. Kukri Sports specialises in bespoke sportswear for over 100 sports, including rugby league, rugby union, hockey, cricket and netball. The brand already has partnerships with the likes of England Lacrosse, Scottish Gymnastics, Ulster Rugby and Lancashire Cricket. England Netball has recently confirmed the 2021 Vitality Superleague season will return in February next year. Stars will be back on the court for the first time since their 2020 campaign was curtailed after three matches due to the coronavirus. The Stars franchise not only competes in the top domestic competition in the UK, the Vitality Netball Superleague, but has a strong tradition of developing local talented young players. It also fields teams across various age ranges with support from a number of associated schools through its Nova Academies system. These provide talented Under 17 players with weekly training sessions, strength and conditioning programmes and provision, high-level technical training, as well as sports therapy and off-court support. Chris Marshall, Sales Director, Kukri Sports, said: “Kukri Sports is proud of its strong historical association with netball and is delighted to be providing Severn Stars with all competition and leisurewear for its squads. Every Kukri partnership is about engagement and supporting each individual through their sporting journey. Our products are designed to meet the needs of athletes of all ages and abilities. Working with Severn Stars, we’re developing a high performance on court range, alongside comfortable and practical products off the court, ensuring the athletes and fans alike are proud to wear their team colours. “Netball is a key sport across our partners and Severn Stars will provide a goal for young netballers across the country. We are especially excited to see the development of the Nova Academies which aim to develop a pool of young talent.” Mick Donovan, co-Director of the Severn Stars, and Head of Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Worcester said: “We are pleased to be working with such an experienced and long-standing sportswear brand. They really understand what athletes need to perform at their best and the franchise is looking forward to showing off the new-look kit when the Superleague re-starts and hopes the fans will enjoy emulating their favourite players. We will also consistently strive to promote our shared values of inclusivity, ambition and passion.” Related news post 1 day ago Bethany Brittain confirmed as captain of NIC Rhinos Netball Reading: 2 mins Tags: VNSL 2020 Previous Story Strathclyde Sirens sign Nicola McCleery for fifth season Next Story Malcolm and Guthrie to co-captain the Vitality Roses More News 1 day ago News Bethany Brittain confirmed as captain of NIC Rhinos Netball Reading: 2 mins 2 days ago News Nottingham Forest Netball Launch 2025 dresses ahead of their inaugural Netball Super League Season Reading: 1 min 20th Feb 2025 News Cooper and Pavelin to lead Forest for 2025 Reading: 1 min 18th Feb 2025 News Sky Sports set to treble coverage of the Netball Super League in significant new commitment to the sport ahead of historic relaunch Reading: 5 mins 12th Feb 2025 News Birmingham Panthers reveal 2025 dress designed by local young designers Reading: 2 mins More Google Ad – MPU – Right Column
