Share Surrey Storm have announce d that Nicole Humphrys has re-signed for the 2021 Vitality Netball Superleague (VNSL) season. The 24-year-old previously joined Storm from Severn Stars, and has also played for Saracens Mavericks at youth level. Humphrys spent four years studying Sport Science at the University of Bath, representing Team Bath for three seasons during her time there. Playing as a defender or in the mid-court, Humphrys provides further versatility for Mikki Austin’s squad. Pleased to be back, she said: “I’m delighted to have signed with Storm for a third season. I have loved every minute back on court with the girls after a long time apart. “We have a great bunch of girls, with some new faces in the mix this year, and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together. The 2021 season can’t come soon enough!” Director of Netball Mikki Austin added: “We are so excited to announce Nicole is re-signing for another season here at Surrey Storm. “Nicole, who recovered from an ACL injury has come back to fitness in fine form post the COVID-19 break. “Nic is a committed and hard working athlete who offers a real tenacity within that Wing Defence position and we cannot wait to continue to work with her.” This announcement is Storm’s seventh of the 2021 signing window with just nine days until Deadline Day on 30 October. They had previously announced Yasmin Parsons, Emily Gulvin, Niamh Cooper, Alima Priest, Leah Middleton and Karyn Bailey would be with them for the 2021 season.
