Share Two time Superleague champions Wasps Netball have signed current England Futures player Iona Christian as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2021 season. Christian who has also featured at the U21 Netball Europe, Netball World Youth Cup and as part of England A/development tours. Having moved from Severn Stars to Wasps before the start of the 2020 season Christian will look to hit the ground running after her first season at the Coventry based franchise was cut short. Upon signing for Wasps Christian said: “I am super excited to re-sign for Wasps this year! I can’t wait to finally get back on court with such a talented group of girls. I’m really looking forward to learning lots, getting stuck in at training and competing with and against the best.” Head Coach Mel Mansfield commented “Our mid-court dynamo is back! Bringing speed, agility and a phenomenal work rate, we are excited to see Iona’s confidence grow and her flair on court this coming season. She is one of our young Roses who has so much to offer this team.
