Share The Arabic translates to "Welcome to London Pulse" London Pulse is delighted to announce the commencement of a netball performance HUB in the UAE commencing in January 2021 led by Amanda Newton. Athletes resident in the UAE have gone through a selection process and will start the programme in January. The Elite athletes will be coached in line with performance training set by London Pulse in the UK and will be given a chance to experience regular performance coaching in line with the London Pulse values of diversity and inclusion. Amanda Newton said: “I have been coaching in Dubai for over two years now, and I am aware of the talented athletes that live here. However, there isn’t the level of performance coaching here to compare to that in the UK. I want to be able to provide that standard of coaching to the athletes here to help them reach their full potential. Selected athletes also have access to the London Pulse Educate Train, Inspire Programme which all London Pulse pathway athletes benefit from. This is a huge step change for performance netball in the UAE.” Sam Bird, CEO of London Pulse, added: “This is a project that Amanda and I have been working on for several months. We share a passion for bringing netball to new players and families and to then help those showing a talent for the game to be given performance training on a par with that delivered in the UK. I’m grateful to the team on the ground for working so productively with me to enable this to happen in the UAE. Our campaign to bring netball to new communities is very exciting and this is an example of our drive to make this happen.” As well as a performance programme – community camps will also be run by London Pulse in the UAE.
