Leeds Rhinos Netball have provided an update on the conditions of three first-team players after they all sustained injuries in their fixture with Saracens Mavericks. Tuaine Keenan, Donnell Wallam and Fi Toner all had to be substituted during the Monday night defeat to Mavericks in what was their second Vitality Netball Superleague (VNSL) outing of the season. Keenan had to be replaced after 10 minutes, Wallam after 19 and Toner midway through the third quarter. Rhinos have confirmed that Australian import Wallam has fractured her radius bone in the team’s narrow loss to Saracens Mavericks on Monday night. The goal shooter underwent surgery on Tuesday morning and is expected to make a full recovery. A timeframe for her return to court is to be confirmed. The club also confirmed that Keenan and vice-captain Toner, who also picked up injuries in the game against Mavericks, are set to have scans today to determine the extent of their respective lower limb injuries. We would like to wish all three players the best for a speedy recovery. Read Leeds Rhinos Netball’s full statement here.
