Well known for her formidable performances in defence, Claire took on a coaching role last season before taking maternity leave to concentrate on the birth of her daughter. Claire, now back in the Strathclyde Sirens outfit is ready to return to the court and isn’t messing around with her intentions for the season ahead. Current Captain of the Scottish Thistles, and with 57 Sirens caps to her name, Claire is looking forward to pushing towards an even better finish in 2022; “I couldn’t be more excited to sign with Sirens for another season, the opportunities and belief they gave me last year is something I am truly grateful for and now it’s all down to unfinished business with this incredible squad. We’re after a top 4 spot and we’re going to work extremely hard to get it!” Head Coach, Lesley MacDonald said: “I’m delighted to have brownie back after the birth of her baby daughter. Brownie is the ultimate athlete and has worked extremely hard in the pre season to be ready for the new season. “She undoubtedly will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience back into the squad along with her leadership on and off the court. I also can’t wait to have the league’s best cheerleader following her super star mummy this season.” Related news post 1 day ago Netball Super League confirms new Board of Directors to lead the League into the new era of professionalisation Reading: 4 mins Related players: Claire Maxwell Tags: Signing Window 2022 Strathclyde Sirens Previous Story Harvey and Haynes re-sign Loughborough Lightning Next Story Tuaine Keenan returns for Leeds Rhinos’ 2022 campaign More News 1 day ago News Netball Super League confirms new Board of Directors to lead the League into the new era of professionalisation Reading: 4 mins 23rd Oct 2024 News Introducing the NXT Gen League: Everything you need to know!
