Share Surrey Storm is delighted to unveil Bartercard as their first-ever naming rights partner ahead of the 2022 Vitality Netball Superleague (VNSL) season. The multi-year deal will see the Surrey Sports Park outfit become officially known as Bartercard Surrey Storm as part of the ground-breaking new partnership. This collaboration sees Bartercard make a significant show of commitment to woman’s sport, and the Storm franchise in particular, over the coming seasons. Bartercard is a leading trading platform where businesses can buy and sell their goods or services as part of a global network of likeminded businesses. They boast 55,000 cardholders globally, while £40million was traded on the platform in the UK last year. As part of the agreement, Bartercard Surrey Storm will be able to spend the ‘Barter pounds’ and traditional cash it earns from the deal with the wide range of local, national and international suppliers on the network. Storm Managing Director Gavin Baker said: “This is a landmark moment for Storm as we announce this agreement with Bartercard who will become the first naming rights partner in the history of the franchise. “The partnership gives us a fantastic boost ahead of the upcoming VNSL campaign and beyond. We couldn’t be happier to welcome Bartercard into the Storm family and I’m looking forward to seeing how the partnership can evolve into the future.” Chris Kirkby, Bartercard Managing Director, said: “We are hugely proud to sign Surrey Storm to the Bartercard network. We can’t wait to support and celebrate their success throughout the season. They are a huge name in the region. “I have been very impressed with the positivity around the club, so when the opportunity arose to get involved, we jumped at the chance.” Mikki Austin, Storm’s Director of Netball, also commented on her excitement at partnering with a company whose ethos is closely aligned with that of the franchise. “We are hugely excited to announce a brand-new named sponsor in Bartercard,” Austin said. “They are a nationwide company whose values of trust, honesty and respect align perfectly with ours here at Surrey Storm, and we look forward to developing this partnership over the coming seasons.” Follow @NetballSL on Twitter, Instagram or subscribe to our newsletter for the latest Vitality Netball Superleague news.
