Share Leeds Rhinos Netball’s match against Loughborough Lightning on Sunday 6 February has been postponed due to Leeds Rhinos not having enough players available for selection to fulfill the fixture. VNSL clubs need a minimum of 10 players available to fulfil a fixture, and due to a combination of confirmed Covid-19 cases, illness and injury Leeds Rhinos have less than the required number of players to take to court. The first centre pass had been scheduled for 11.00 AM GMT on Sunday 6 February. The rescheduling of the fixture has now been referred to the VNSL Rescheduling Competitions Committee (RCC) who will work alongside both clubs to agree a new date for the fixture, which will be announced as soon as possible. Steve Elworthy, Chair of the Vitality Netball Superleague Board, said: “The health and safety of players, staff and fans is paramount, and we wish everyone affected a speedy recovery.” The Season Opener schedule for Sunday 6 February will now see leading men’s teams London Giants Netball v Northern Titans Men’s Netball step into the 11.00 AM GMT game as an exciting curtain raiser to the remaining four fixtures of the day. Resorts World Arena Birmingham doors will open at 09.30am as previously communicated to ticket holders.
