Share Manchester Thunder Performance Operations Director, Tracey Neville MBE has taken up the opportunity to join the coaching set up at Adelaide Thunderbirds in the Suncorp Super Netball League. The former Vitality Roses head coach will take a sabbatical season from her coaching commitments at Manchester Thunder to become an assistant coach in Adelaide, reconnecting with head coach Tania Obst, who worked with the Vitality Roses and Future Roses from 2017-2019, and fellow assistant coach Cathy Fellows. Neville will be joined with her family out in Australia, starting her role in Adelaide in February 2023. She will continue with her coaching commitments at Thunder until then and will also remain on the board during her sabbatical season. Neville commented: “The opportunity to work in Australia has always been a passion of mine and when this opportunity was presented to me by Adelaide Thunderbirds, it was an opportunity I couldn’t refuse. “Manchester Thunder have always supported my ambitions and taking this sabbatical season will no doubt benefit them in the long term. “I will still be maintaining my position on the board with Manchester Thunder as their Performance Operation Director and providing coaching support while in the UK.” Neville will reunite with four-time Superleague winner Eleanor Cardwell who joined Adelaide Thunderbirds following Manchester Thunder’s Superleague championship win in July.
