London Pulse to run visually impaired netball festival

London Pulse will hold their first-ever Visually Impaired Netball Festival on 22 December at their Netball Super League home, the Copper Box Arena.

Pulse are welcoming any visually impaired athletes to join them for the session which is being put on in association with Metro Blind Sport.

The session will start at 12pm and run for three hours with specialist coaches teaching basic netball skills in a safe and welcoming environment.

The Super League side are encouraging attendees to bring along a friend too, with the session free of charge to all.

Not only will the coaches be there to show the attendees the ropes, but a host of London Pulse stars will also join in so the athletes can learn from the best.

London Pulse finished third in the NSL table, before losing out to Team Bath in the third-place play-off at the Netball Super League Grand Final which was hosted at the Copper Box Arena.

In October the Copper Box staged two games of the international series between England and Uganda before playing host to group matches of the Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup.

Some of the Pulse players in action against Uganda included fan favourites Funmi Fadoju, Olivia Tchine and new recruit Chelsea Pitman.

Sam Bird has also bolstered her side with the signing of England’s most-capped player Jade Clarke from Leeds Rhinos for the 2023 season which begins with the Season Opener on 11 February 2023.

London Pulse have followed Manchester Thunder in delivering an accessible netball session after the North West side hosted their first para-netball session last month.
