Share A table-topping clash, a big arena game and a new face in charge in Cardiff – there’s plenty to get your mouth watering this weekend in the Netball Super League! We have three live games coming up in Round 12, kicking off with Friday Night Netball on Sky Sports – the perfect way to start your weekend. Make sure you’re following the NSL on Twitter, Instagram and TikTok for updates and exclusive behind-the-scenes content, while our YouTube channel is the place to go for highlights if you miss anything. Manchester Thunder vs. Surrey Storm The Sky cameras are at Belle Vue tonight as the reigning champions Manchester Thunder welcome the league leaders’ Surrey Storm. After an enthralling match earlier in the season which saw Storm end Thunder’s incredible 24-match unbeaten run, the hosts will be hoping to get some revenge and take Storm’s place at the top in the process. Belle Vue has been a fortress for Thunder over the past couple of seasons – the last time Karen Greig’s side lost here was back in 2019; 11 games have been played there since. Storm have spent the last three rounds on the road and in their last outing had to battle hard to fend off Strathclyde Sirens. Whilst Storm have struggled away at Thunder in recent seasons, Mikki Austin can take heart from their side’s win earlier in the campaign. The last time Storm claimed three points in Manchester came in the 2016 season – the year they retained their NSL title. Tune in to Friday Night Netball live on Sky Sports Action and YouTube (UK only) from 19:00. Catch the first centre pass at 19:30. Leeds Rhinos vs. Saracens Mavericks On Sunday thousands will be descending upon the First Direct Arena as Leeds Rhinos host Saracens Mavericks. This is Rhinos’ first game at the main arena in Leeds since their battle with Thunder last season. Liana Leota will be hoping with the extra support that her side can make it back-to-back home wins and move out of the bottom two for the first time since Round 1. In order to do this, they will need to get past a Mavericks side who secured their first away win of the season when they were last out on the road in Round 10 against Team Bath. Watch what is set to be an interesting encounter in Leeds live on Sky Sports YouTube (UK only) at 16:00. Celtic Dragons vs. Loughborough Lightning After nearly two years with the Franchise, Dannielle Titmuss-Morris and Celtic Dragons have parted ways. Last season, Danni and her side received a lot of plaudits for their performances across the season, contesting a number of close encounters with teams higher than them in the table. The Franchise have confirmed that their new head coach will be announced before Monday’s game. For Loughborough Lightning, they return to the court after a bye week and will be looking to close the gap between themselves and the top three as they look to cement their top four credentials. In the defensive end, both sides’ have been supported by standout performers. Shaquanda Greene-Noel has shot to the top of the standings for intercepts and turnovers and is third for deflections meanwhile, England internationals Fran Williams and Alice Harvey are proving to be a solid pairing with the duo combining in their last match to pick off five intercepts between them. Watch Celtic Dragons under new management against Loughborough Lightning live on Sky Sports YouTube (UK only) at 19:00.
