Cardiff Dragons announce 2024 shooters

Taken during the Netball Super League game between Celtic Dragons and Manchester Thunder at the House of Sport, Cardiff, Wales on 7th April 2023.

Newly named Cardiff Dragons will see three familiar faces return to their shooting circle, welcoming new recruit Hannah Passmore from Team Bath to complete the lineup.

Georgia Rowe

After a strong display at the Netball World Cup with the Welsh national side, including securing a Player of the Match award against Home Nation rivals Scotland, Georgia returns for a fifth season with Dragons. Consistently accurate under the post, Georgia has notched up over 90% shooting accuracy in the past four seasons in the Netball Super League.

Laura Rudland

A versatile Wing Attack and Goal Attack, Laura Rudland returns for her fourth season with Dragons. Part of the 2023 leadership group, Laura is a well-known competitor in the netball sphere and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the 2024 squad.

Phillipa Yarranton

Phillipa will once again pair up with Welsh Feathers teammate Georgia Rowe this season and this exciting new partnership is set to build following their success at the Netball World Cup.  Phillipa was a Training Partner in 2023 and has been elevated to the squad of 12 for 2024, following a string of standout performances for both Dragons and Wales.

In the summer, Phillipa made her Netball World Cup debut in the first match of the competition and won the Player of the Match award after a dominant display against Trinidad and Tobago.

Hannah Passmore

Hannah Passmore makes the switch from Blue and Gold to Green this season, as she joins Cardiff Dragons from local rivals Team Bath. A strong Goal Attack and Goal Shooter, Hannah is no stranger to top flight netball, despite being only 22 years of age. Part of Team Bath’s development pathway for a number of years, including playing NPL at U19 and U21 levels she has also played for the England U21 squad
