Share LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons have announced that Jill McIntosh will be moving to a new role as Coaching Consultant. McIntosh was appointed as Head Coach at the club in April 2023 following the departure of Dannielle Titmuss-Morris. The former Australian Diamonds player, captain, and coach then signed up to lead Dragons through the 2024 season, in which they recorded their highest finish since 2019. Discussing the announcement, Vicki Sutton CEO at Cardiff Dragons said: “It has been a pleasure to have Jill as the Head Coach of Cardiff Dragons for the last season and a half but as we enter this new Super League era, we have to put into place a long-term, full-time solution to see us through the first phase of the new structure. “Whilst Jill will not lead the team as Head Coach in the 2025 season, we are thrilled to announce that we have agreed a three-year coaching consultancy partnership with Jill that will see her knowledge and expertise shared with not only Cardiff Dragons but also the Welsh Feathers and Wales Pathway. “This new role will see Jill come to the UK and other relevant nations (where Wales are playing) twice a year and be the mentor for both the Cardiff Dragons and Welsh Feathers Head Coach among other responsibilities.” A new full-time Head Coach for the franchise will be announced in the coming weeks.
