The Netball Super League begins search for Non-Executive Directors ahead of 2025 relaunch

The Netball Super League (NSL) is now recruiting to appoint Independent Directors to the NSL Board.

Following a groundbreaking 2024 NSL season which saw a sell-out Season Opener, a record-breaking number of tickets sold for an NSL Grand Final, and increases in viewing figures and crowd attendance, the NSL is ready to step into a new era of transformational change. In 2025 the League will relaunch, marking a significant milestone in England Netball’s ambition to build the most competitive, commercially vibrant and captivating professional netball league in the world.

Ahead of the launch of the new League, we are now beginning a recruitment process to establish the first Board of the Netball Super League Ltd, a newly established subsidiary of England Netball. Joining the Independent Chair of the Board Tracy Clarke and the NSL Managing Director Claire Nelson will be representatives from the Clubs participating in the League, from England Netball as our National Governing Body, and Independent Directors appointed for specific skills and experience.

Tracy Clarke, Chair of the NSL, said: “We are looking to identify individuals who share our vision for the opportunity the Netball Super League can play in reimagining and engineering what professional netball can and should look like here in the UK.

“This will be coupled with a genuine commitment to delivering our ambitious plans to relaunch the League as an unapologetically and powerfully female focused sports, entertainment, and lifestyle proposition for new and future fans of the sport and lead a movement where we create new societal habits for women and girls to become as powerful of a sports fanbase as men are.”

NSL Managing Director Claire Nelson added: “As we look ahead to the launch of the new League in 2025, we are poised and ready to create transformational change in the women’s sport landscape and unlock the huge potential that exists within our sport.

This is an exciting opportunity for the inaugural Board of Directors to shape the future of not only the Netball Super League, but of women’s sport as a whole at a time where the industry is seeing huge growth, evolution and innovation.

I am thrilled to launch the recruitment process to build a Board that possesses the required skills and experience to support the League to achieve our ambitious vision.”
