Share Kadeen Corbin has put pen to paper on a new deal with Vitality Netball Superleague (VSNL) side Saracens Mavericks to make her the club’s first signing of the 2021 signing window. Corbin is a seasoned professional with more than 50 appearances for her country and with experience playing top-level club netball at home and abroad in recent seasons. This will be goal attack’s third consecutive season since returning to Mavericks prior to the 2019 campaign. She had previously represented the Hertfordshire outfit between 2013 and 2015. Her four-year spell away from Hertfordshire Sports Village included a season in New Zealand with Mainland Tactix and a second spell with Team Bath, with whom she won the VNSL title. She was brought back to Mavericks in 2019 after a highly-impressive campaign the year prior when she netted almost 350 Superleague goals with a shot accuracy of 85 per cent. Supporting goal shooter George Fisher, Corbin has become a recurring fixture in Kat Ratnapala’s starting VII. In 2020, she started all three games and scored 51 goals in total. For the Vitality Roses, Corbin has now gained 70 caps for her country since she made her debut against New Zealand back in 2011. She has represented England at two major international tournaments and won the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in 2018, beating Australia in the final. Since, she has gone onto be a key figure in Jess Thirlby’s tenure and has been apart of all three major squads since the Head Coach took charge after the 2019 Vitality Netball World Cup. The 28-year-old is currently in New Zealand ready to take on the world champions as part of the three-match Cadbury Test Series at the end of the month.
