After Loughborough Lightning lost at the hands of Manchester Thunder, they were hanging on for a Team Northumbria win over Team Bath to still be in with a shout of a top four finish. But after Bath picked up the away win in Northumbria, Lightning’s hopes of finishing in the play-off places were dashed.
