Share Yorkshire Jets are sad to announce that Vanes-Mari Du Toit is returning to South Africa following the death of her grandmother. The 26-year old learnt the news over the weekend and is now travelling back to her home country to be with her family and attend the funeral. With Jets final match being next Monday, Vanes will not be able to return in time for their remaining two games in the Vitality Netball Superleague. Jets Head Coach Anna Carter said: “Everyone at Yorkshire Jets would like to extend their deepest sympathy to Vanes and her family on this very sad news. “Vanes has been an important part of the Jets family this season – well liked, well respected and a leader on and off court. I know she is deeply disappointed not to be able to finish the season alongside her team mates, we will miss her and thank her for her contribution to Jets this year.” Related news post 2 days ago Catching up with Nottingham Forest Netball's Rhea Dixon as she makes her international debut Reading: 6 mins Previous Story Keenan hoping for another win Next Story GB athletes enjoy VNSL experience More News 2 days ago News Catching up with Nottingham Forest Netball’s Rhea Dixon as she makes her international debut Reading: 6 mins 21st Nov 2024 News Netball Super League confirms new Board of Directors to lead the League into the new era of professionalisation Reading: 4 mins 23rd Oct 2024 News Introducing the NXT Gen League: Everything you need to know!
