South Africa v Wales Photograph by Declan Roughan / Press Eye Wales Netball have announced their a 15-strong squad to take on the Isle of Man next month for a three-match test series. 11 players selected for 2022 Vitality Netball Superleague (VNSL) squads have been included in the team selected by former Manchester Thunder player and Wales Head Coach Sara Moore. Celtic Dragons’ Nia Jones – who recently re-joined the club from Severn Stars – will co-captain the side along with former Dragons star Suzy Drane. Clare Jones, meanwhile, will vice captain her country. In total, three Superleague sides have been represented. Welsh side Celtic Dragons have the most players included with eight while Wasps (x2) and Team Bath also feature. Zoe Matthewman, meanwhile, represents Loughborough Lightning at youth level. Furthermore, the likes of Drane, Kyra Jones and Morganne Dunne have all recently played at VNSL level. The team will travel to the Isle of Man on Thursday 11 November and will play three ranking matches with the aim of qualifying for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022.
