Where to Watch: Round 20

It’s here! The final round of the Netball Super League 2023.

After 86 games, we have just four left to complete the regular season with three of them live on Sky Sports.

Make sure you’re following the NSL on TwitterInstagram and TikTok for updates and exclusive behind-the-scenes content, while our YouTube channel is the place to go for highlights if you miss anything.

Loughborough Lightning vs. Team Bath

Kicking off the weekend on Friday Night Netball we have two of the league’s founding members – Loughborough Lightning and Team Bath.

Lightning secured their place in the semi-finals in Round 16 with a win against Severn Stars. Another win tonight would all but secure home advantage against Manchester Thunder next week. Fan favourite Beth Cobden could make her first appearance of the 2023 season after returning to the squad following injury.

Meanwhile for Bath, Annie O’Rourke and Lily Jones have been included in their traveling squad and both could make their senior debuts this evening.

One of the Blue and Gold’s standout stars, Jayda Pechova has been named in the Vitality Roses programme for 2023-24 as one of five new additions including London Pulse duo Berri Neil and Alicia Scholes and her opposite number for this evening, Emma Thacker from Loughborough Lightning.

Watch Friday Night Netball live on Sky Sports Arena and YouTube (UK only).

Strathclyde Sirens vs. Manchester Thunder

Next up we have Strathclyde Sirens against reigning champions Manchester Thunder.

Following a disappointing defeat to Celtic Dragons in their last runout, Lesley MacDonald will be hoping her side can end their season on a high and replicate the second half performance they produced against their opponents in Round 10.

Despite being without Kerry Almond and Shadine van der Merwe for a lot of the season, NSL stalwarts Josie Huckle and Emma Dovey have deputised well, creating strong connections in Thunder’s defensive end with youngsters Ella Bowen and Taylor McKevitt.

At the other end of the court, the goals are flowing. Captain Nat Metcalf leads the league standings for feeds with 520 – 134 more than she registered last season – and Lenize Potgieter is hot on the heels of Mary Cholhok in the Gilbert Top Scorer leaderboard. The South African shooter is just 34 off the top spot and with a clinical shot accuracy of 97%, she is likely to push Cholhok to the end.

Head over to Sky Sports YouTube (UK only) to watch this one from 14:00 on Saturday.

London Pulse vs. Saracens Mavericks

And finally, on Monday night the league leaders return to action as London Pulse take on Saracens Mavericks.

Sam Bird’s side will take on Surrey Storm in the first of next Friday’s semi-finals – tickets available here.

This will be the second successive season that the Pulse head coach has been at the Grand Final. She also appeared with Mavericks as head coach back in 2015 – the last time the franchise has featured in the season finale.

Whilst it’s been an up and down season for the visitors, a win would move them back up to fifth to finish the season.

For Sasha Corbin, this will be her last game in the Netball Super League after announcing her plans to retire just before Round 18.

Watch Pulse against Mavericks from the Copper Box Arena live on Monday night on Sky Sports YouTube (UK only).
