Share Celtic Dragons Head Coach Trish Wilcox says the team are looking forward to giving a performance they and the Green Army fans can be proud of, at their next VNSL2017 fixture this Friday 3 March. The Dragons will travel to their third match of the season against new Superleague team Severn Stars, at University of Worcester Arena. Despite a tough defeat for the Dragons against Sirens last Saturday at Super Ten, Head Coach Wilcox describes how the team are relishing the experience: “We are on an amazing journey in this league and relish every opportunity to step onto the court and challenge ourselves. “Last Saturday saw us deviate away from our identity as a team and this week is about us getting back on track and putting out a performance that we as a group and our amazing green army fans can be proud of.” Severn Stars have also lost their first two matches of the season against Surrey Storm and Loughborough Lightning. Both sides will be looking to win their first match of the season, and Stars will be keen to do so at home. “The team have come into training with a positive determined mindset and trained with high intensity this week,” says Trish Wilcox. “As a group, we are determined to put out a performance that we know we are capable of delivering to be successful.” The Dragons must wait until April to play at home, which will see the team take on Loughborough Lightning on Monday 3 April at 7.45pm.
