Netball Super League | Bath and Sirens on hunt to end perfect records in Round 5

After four rounds of action, only two unbeaten records remain intact. Aiming to spoil this run in Round 5 will be Team Bath and Sirens when they face off against Surrey Storm and Loughborough Lightning respectively.

The latest set of fixtures start with Severn Stars looking to upset local rivals, Wasps Netball. The two teams in their debut Superleague season clash on Friday evening in Worcester.

Round 4 saw Wasps fall to their first defeat of the season and it will intriguing to see how the team responds with a tricky away fixture to come.

Two more teams coming into this weekend’s games off the back of a defeat are Hertfordshire Mavericks and Celtic Dragons.

The Welsh side are waiting to taste victory for the first time this campaign while Mavericks have stuttered in recent weeks to find themselves sitting outside of the semi-final spots in 7^th spot.

One of the form teams in the league in Loughborough Lightning take to the court on Saturday evening when they welcome Sirens.

With four wins in four games, Lightning are early contenders for a top four place but Sirens have aspirations of their own and it could be the toughest challenge to the undefeated streak yet.

The only other unbeaten team have to wait until Monday evening to renew their challenge at the top of the table as Surrey Storm travel to Team Bath.

This mouth-watering tie should provide the sternest of challenges to Storm as Bath sit fourth in the table having picked up a sole loss so far in 2017.

Sky Sports send their cameras to Newcastle for Monday Night Netball as Team Northumbria hunt for a first win of the season against a Manchester Thunder side who are bang in form.

The 2014 Superleague champions have bounced back from a slow start to the campaign and will be looking to make it three on the bounce when they head to Sport Central for Round 5.

Northumbria have shown their resilience this year but with points slipping by, they need to turn performances into victories if they want to clinch a semi-final place.
