Share The Netball Super League (NSL) is hotting up! As round seven approaches, find out all the vital information about where to watch and follow the action over the next few days. With some unexpected results and plenty of closely fought battles in round six, the competition continues to thrill audiences across the country, and there are some exciting match-ups to look forward to this weekend. On Friday 29 March fans can spend their bank holiday watching Strathclyde Sirens host Loughborough Lightning on Sky Sports YouTube. And on Saturday 30 March, BBC Sport will be broadcasting what is sure to be a fiery match-up between the LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons and London Pulse. All the details on how to watch these unmissable matches can be found here, along with how to keep up to date on all the other games across the weekend. Strathclyde Sirens v Loughborough Lightning – First Centre Pass at 19:30 Friday 29 March Strathclyde Sirens’ fans are always loud, lifting their team to play at the next level. If Sirens can draw on this support from their home crowd and ensure a consistent supply of ball to South African international Sammy Ngubane, will fans be celebrating their first win of NSL 2024 against the reigning champions? Ngubane was awarded the player of the match award after Sirens’ round six loss to Saracens Mavericks and is currently the highest placing goal attack in the league’s Top Scorer leaderboard. She is optimistic that the group’s connection is building to something special. On the other hand, Loughborough Lightning will be keen to silence the roar of the Scottish crowd just like they did in Manchester last weekend. Their 52-64 win away from home ended Manchester Thunder’s winning streak in NSL 2024 and featured stand out performances across the court for Lightning. Alice Harvey and Nicola Smith were particularly impressive in defence, earning two intercepts, eight deflections and five pick ups between them. They will want to repeat this performance in order to stamp their authority on the league in round seven. Strathclyde Sirens Player to Watch: Hannah Williams made the move from Loughborough Lightning for more court time at Strathclyde Sirens this season. She has been rewarded with a starting seven position and consistently provides a good supply of ball to her shooters, with 21 feeds into the circle in round six. Facing her former club and teammates for the first time since making the move, she will want to make an impact on the game so look out for more fast footwork and accurate feeds from the dynamic midcourter. Loughborough Lightning Player to Watch: Hannah Joseph is another wing attack who can always be relied on for fast and pin-point accurate feeds. She provided a remarkable 30 feeds to her shooters in Lightning’s round six win and Sirens will need to shut down her connection to Mary Cholhok early in the game if they are to take the win on Friday. LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons v London Pulse – First Centre Pass at 18:30 Saturday 30 March The LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons and London Pulse are two teams with a lot in common this week. Both teams won their round six matches by just two goals, with both teams’ captains picking up player of the match awards in the process. Last week, Nia Jones (Dragons) and Zara Everitt (Pulse) both made crucial deflections at critical times, enabling their teams to hold onto their leads and claim three vital NSL points, but which captain will be able to lead their team to victory in round seven? LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons Player to Watch: Vitality Rose Elle McDonald returned from injury in round six, making her club debut and becoming Dragon number 118. Her presence certainly had an impact, helping her team secure the victory over Severn Stars, who have been a consistent presence in the top four of the table in NSL 2024. McDonald offers speed, agility and accuracy, providing additional firepower to an already strong midcourt for the Dragons. London Pulse Player to Watch: Liv Tchine has consistently sat in the Gilbert Top Scorer leaderboard this season, having scored 179 goals so far. She provides a strong target for the London Pulse attacking end and can combine with either Berri Neil or Nichole Taljaard in the shooting circle, using quick ball movement and a strong hold to work through tight defensive pressure. London Pulse will need to be confident feeding her early on in the game if they want to get the better of the Dragons’ defensive end. Where can I watch? You can watch on BBC Sport, BBC iPlayer and on the Red Button, the first centre pass is at 18:30. Click here to watch. International viewers can watch on NetballPass here. The rest of the round On top of our broadcast games, there are two more matches taking place on Friday 29 March and one more on Saturday 30 March that you can buy tickets to watch live, or follow the action on X. Saracens Mavericks host Severn Stars in Hertfordshire at 4pm on Friday. This is a battle of third versus fifth in the table, so fans can expect both teams to leave it all on the court. Can Mavericks back up a big win against Sirens in round six with another victory or will Stars bounce back strongly from their narrow defeat to Dragons? Next up on Friday is a battle between Leeds Rhinos and Surrey Storm at 7:30pm in Sheffield. Rhinos will be hoping that their home crowd can help them get across the line after a tight loss last week, but they’ll need to look out for Storm’s goal attack Sophie Drakeford-Lewis who is in fine form this season, picking up three player of the match awards across the first six rounds. Finally, on Saturday Team Bath travel to face Manchester Thunder at 5pm. Thunder will be looking to put out a strong performance after losing at home to Loughborough last week. Meanwhile, Team Bath’s Head Coach Asha Francis wants her team to remove some of the errors that cost them their early lead against Saracens Mavericks in round six. They will certainly need to limit any unforced errors against the trademark clinical play of Manchester Thunder.
