Netball Super League | Where to Watch: Round 11

Round 11 of the Netball Super League (NSL) is coming up so find out all the vital information about where to watch and follow the action over the next few days here.

After some record-breaking results in round 10, it’s time to look ahead to what is to come in round 11.

On Friday 26 April fans can enjoy watching fourth-placed Severn Stars host third-placed London Pulse on BBC Sport.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports brings fans the chance to watch Leeds Rhinos take on reigning champions Loughborough Lightning at the First Direct Arena live on Sunday 28 April.

Severn Stars v London Pulse – First Centre Pass at 19:30 Friday 26 April

As the table currently stands this match is a battle of third versus fourth, and so the result could have a real impact on those all-important top four positions at the end of the season. London Pulse enter the match with something to prove after losing at home to Severn Stars in round five. This was the first time since Pulse’s inaugural season in 2019 that Stars had beaten the London side, and Jo Trip will be pushing her side to make it a double victory with the home crowd’s support behind them on Friday.

Severn Stars Player to Watch: Sigi Burger has consistently sat in second place in the Gilbert Top Scorer leaderboard this season so Stars fans have come to rely on her steadying presence under the post. To make this match-up even more interesting, Burger will be facing her old side in this battle with London Pulse. She played for Pulse in the 2020 and 2021 NSL seasons, which is sure to add that extra bit of motivation to put out a dominant performance when she takes to court on Friday!

London Pulse Player to Watch: Nichole Taljaard earnt her first starting seven position in Pulse’s round 10 win over Team Bath and linked up seamlessly with Liv Tchine under the post. Pulse have an exciting array of options in their shooting end, so fans will have to wait and see if the South African superstar will be rewarded for her performance last week which helped the London side to equal their highest-ever goal tally in an NSL game.

Leeds Rhinos v Loughborough Lightning – First Centre Pass at 16:00 Sunday 28 April

Fans travelling to the First Direct Arena in Leeds will be treated to a real spectacle of netball as Leeds Rhinos bring the sport to the arena for the second year in a row. Facing the reigning champions Loughborough Lightning, there is certainly a big game ahead for Rhinos, but under the leadership of captain Geva Mentor, the Yorkshire-based side will leave it all on the court in their determination to secure the win.

Leeds Rhinos Player to Watch: Geva Mentor is certainly a big-game player and fans will be excited to watch her match up against Lightning’s lynchpin shooter Mary Cholhok this weekend. Mentor will need to shut down Cholhok’s prolific shooting ability to give Rhinos the chance to take the scalp of the defending NSL champions on such a big stage.

Loughborough Lightning Player to Watch: Rhea Dixon was rewarded for a stellar performance in round 10 with selection into Ama Agbeze’s Team of the Week in the goal attack position. Her partnership with Cholhok continues to grow week-on-week and, after playing for Rhinos in their inaugural season in 2021 and in 2022 before moving to Lightning, she is another player that will be keen to put out an impressive performance against a former club this weekend.

On top of our broadcast games, there are three more matches taking place this round that you can buy tickets to watch live, or follow the action on X.

Strathclyde Sirens travel to Wales for a Celtic clash at 7pm on Friday. After a much-improved performance against Leeds Rhinos last week, can Sirens translate their improvements into a win on the scoreboard? The LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons will certainly hope not, as they look to bounce back from defeat at home against Surrey Storm in round 10. Fans should look out for Hannah Leighton who played for Dragons before making the move north to Glasgow this season and is likely to have a point to prove as she returns to what was once her home court.

On Saturday fans can enjoy a match-up between Saracens Mavericks and visitors Team Bath at 4pm. Both sides enter this game following a loss, but it is Mavericks who are likely to bring more confidence into this game after pushing reigning champions Loughborough Lightning all the way in round 10, and with the added bonus of a record home crowd supporting them at Hertfordshire Sports Village.

Later, at 6pm Manchester Thunder travel south to face Surrey Storm. This replay of the 2023 third and fourth place play-off is always a feisty match-up. Manchester Thunder won by a significant margin when the two sides met in round five, but Storm have since found some consistency and currently find themselves just outside the top four, in fifth place in the NSL table. Can they make a real statement with a win against the current league leaders this weekend?
