Share The LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons have announced that Reinga Bloxham has been appointed as Head Coach ahead of the 2025 Netball Super League (NSL) season. The club are delighted to announce the appointment of Reinga Bloxham as the new Head Coach for the franchise’s NSL squad. Bloxham joins the LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons from the Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel where she has been an integral part of the Steel’s coaching ranks for the past eleven seasons, including the past eight at the helm where she guided the team to two ANZ Premiership titles in 2017 and 2018. Bloxham is set to bring a wealth of experience, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong work ethic that aligns perfectly with the Dragons’ culture and vision. Bloxham’s track record also includes experience coaching the New Zealand A team and the Silver Ferns as an Assistant Coach. Bloxham has been instrumental in shaping successful netball programs across New Zealand, and is well known for her strategic acumen, leadership qualities, and dedication to player development, across a coaching career marked by numerous achievements and accolades. “We are thrilled to welcome Reinga to the LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons family,” said Vicki Sutton, LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons CEO. “Her expertise, and vision make her the perfect fit to lead our team. We are confident that under her guidance, the Dragons will reach new heights and continue to grow both in skill and spirit, building on the stellar work of Jill McIntosh in recent seasons.” Bloxham expressed her enthusiasm about taking on the new role stating: “I am really looking forward to the opportunity of being the Head Coach for the LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons. The challenge of moulding the team and building a strong performance culture that will take us into the new NSL is exciting. I am looking forward to working towards achieving our club ambitions and being able to connect to the netball community and fans in Wales.” Reinga’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for the LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons as the team prepares for the new look NSL competition, and under her leadership, the Dragons are poised to make a significant impact in the league.
