Share Tamsin Greenway says this weekend’s clash with Team Bath will be the “perfect test” for Wasps Netball as they prepare for the Final Four. Wasps Netball welcome Team Bath to the Ricoh Arena on Saturday, June 3 (5.00pm centre-pass) – for what will be their final home fixture of the Vitality Netball Superleague season. Team Bath arrive in Coventry in need of a win to secure their Final Four place, with Surrey Storm only three points behind them. Storm face Loughborough Lightning on the same evening, where a win for Storm and a loss for Bath will see fourth spot decided on goal difference. Wasps Director of Netball Greenway knows it will be a really tough game but will be a great way to prepare for the Final Four. She said: “Team Bath won’t be relying on Lightning to do a job for them, they will come here wanting to take care of business themselves. “It’s the perfect test for us, we’re going to play a team that needs to win and also has the best defensive record in the league – you couldn’t ask for a better challenge going into the Final Four. “We still have work to do but I’m really proud of the amazing things that we’ve done this year. “It’s about the journey – you don’t always get the results you want in sport but you’ve got to enjoy the experience.” Wasps Netball secured their place in the Final Four with a huge 40 goal win against Celtic Dragons last weekend – and have now racked up more than 1,000 goals over the course of the season. Meanwhile, Team Bath have statistically the best defence in the league, conceding only 772 goals. Attendances have exceeded 1,000 for every Wasps Netball game at the Ricoh Arena this season, with the team winning six of their eight games so far on their home court. Greenway added: “Our fan-base has grown and grown throughout the season and I’m sure the Wasps fans will be out in force again on Saturday. “We’ve beaten every team at least once this season, except for Bath, so we’ll go out there and give it a real good go to keep that record. “We haven’t had the perfect time at home, but it would be nice to give our fans one more win to celebrate.” Tickets for Wasps Netball vs Team Bath start from £10 for adults while under-10s go free, and can be purchased from www.waspsnetball.co.uk/tickets.
