Since being founded 2005, the Netball Super League (NSL) has been the UK’s top-level, elite netball competition. The League relaunch in 2025 marks the start of the new era with eight teams competing from England and Wales: Birmingham Panthers, LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons, London Mavericks, London Pulse, Loughborough Lightning, Manchester Thunder, NIC Leeds Rhinos and Nottingham Forest Netball.
The NSL’s vision is to be the most competitive, engaging and commercially vibrant professional netball league in the world; while on a mission to be at the apex of a movement which illuminates the indisputable power of women.
The first 14 rounds of the regular season run during the first half of the calendar year followed by mini and major semi-finals and a preliminary final; culminating in a Grand Final to determine the league champions. In 2025, the Grand Final takes place at The O2 Arena, London on 6 July.
All matches in the NSL will be televised and available across a mix of Sky Sports, Sky Sports YouTube and BBC iPlayer in the UK and Ireland plus NetballPass for international fans.
There have been six different champions in the first 18 full seasons of the NSL. The current title holders are Loughborough Lightning after their win in June 2024.
