Share Taken during the Netball Super League game between Saracens Mavericks and London Pulse at the Hertfordshire Sports Village, Hatfield, England on 3rd April 2023. Saracens Mavericks were unable to halt a commanding London Pulse, as they fell to a 65-43 defeat at home. Pulse established an early lead which they then capitalised on in the second quarter, putting the game beyond a reinvigorated Mavs side in the second half. Despite Mavericks being able to welcome back Razia Quashie for the first time this season following her recovery from an ACL injury, it was Sam Bird’s Pulse side who raced out of the blocks. Indeed, they were 9 goals ahead before Ine-Mari Venter finally managed to get her side on the board in front of a sell-out HSV crowd. Led by the superb Olivia Tchine in the attacking third, Pulse seemed to be gliding around the court, feeding passes into their shooters at will, despite the best efforts of Quashie and Jodie Gibson in defence. This was another commanding performance to silence the home crowd, as they continued to put their foot on the accelerator. Camilla Buchanan shuffled her Mavericks side around, with Beth Ecuyer-Dale making an instant impact at centre and Britney Clarke and Ellie Kelk continuing the fine form they both showed in the shooting circle last week against Manchester Thunder. But Pulse were always in control, as they continued to shift through the gears on their way to securing a comprehensive victory.
