Nottingham Forest Netball player to watch: Iona Christian took the starting wing attack bib for the first time this season in round four, and with 30 feeds to her name by the end of the match, she truly made an impact. Christian’s trademark speed added dynamism to Forest’s attack and ensured there was always an option to the ball, playing a crucial role in their two-goal win over reigning champions Loughborough Lightning.
London Mavericks player to watch: Suzie Liverseidge was another wing attack who stood out in round four. She took control of Mavericks’ attacking end, offering depth when needed and hitting important feeding positions at the circle edge time and time again. After the elation of a one-goal win, fans should look out for Liverseidge and her London Mavericks teammates as they try to back this performance up when facing a new challenge in Nottingham Forest Netball on Friday night.

Manchester Thunder player to watch: Elmeré van der Berg currently leads the League’s Gilbert Top Scorer table, having scored 162 goals so far this season at 87% accuracy. Over the opening rounds she’s proved herself a consistent and reliable presence in Manchester Thunder’s shooting circle, causing headaches for defenders across the League. Her battle with one of the world’s best goal keepers, Geva Mentor, will certainly be one to watch on Saturday.
NIC Leeds Rhinos player to watch: Cassie Howard continues to stand out for NIC Leeds Rhinos. Just when her team needs it most, Howard is able to come through with a crucial interception or momentum-changing deflection that galvanises and refocuses her side, so she will no doubt be an important player for Rhinos against the challenge posed by four time-NSL champions Manchester Thunder.

Loughborough Lightning player to watch: Berri Neil made the move to Loughborough Lightning this season after two years at London Pulse and has already built an incredibly strong connection with Lightning goal shooter Ella Clark. Both players happily take Soft & Gentle Super Shots with confidence, enabling them to put immense scoreboard pressure on their opponents throughout games. The LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons will need to find a way to break this connection if they want to disrupt Loughborough’s attacking flow this weekend.
LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons player to watch: Alex Johnson stepped into the goal keeper position for Dragons with confidence in round four and ended the game with two deflections, two intercepts and a pick-up, making her presence known in the defensive circle. Fans should watch out for another big performance from the young star as she takes on Loughborough Lightning, a side she knows well from her time as a training partner for the Club in the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

Birmingham Panthers player to watch: Betsy Creak was one of Panthers’ key performers in their nail-biting round four loss to London Mavericks. She scored eight Soft & Gentle Super Shots throughout the game, including many under incredible pressure in the closing minutes of the game. Whilst it wasn’t enough to get her side over the line, she’ll be sure to enter round five fighting for that elusive first victory for her team.
London Pulse player to watch: In a team of super stars, captain Zara Everitt has led from the front, putting out consistently dominant performances on court. Her battle against wing attack and fellow Vitality Rose Jess Shaw will certainly be one to watch as round five gets underway.
