Player Bio
Bella Baylis might only be 21 years old but she already boasts two Netball Super League titles to her name.
The centre courter, who features at centre and wing attack, started her career on London Mavericks’ Player Pathway before graduating to become a training partner.
It was there she made her NSL debut, before making the move to current club Loughborough Lightning ahead of the 2023 season, where her time could not have got off to a better start.
Baylis won two consecutive titles in her first two seasons in the East Midlands to provide her with a CV accomplished beyond her years.
She has also become accustomed to success on the international stage, winning multiple gold medals in the England academy programme at U17 and U21 level.
Baylis’ evident promise has been rewarded with call-ups to the Future Roses programme for both the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons.
This is not her first taste of the international scene, however. Baylis has a multi-sport background and has competed for England across a number of disciplines.
Her agility in centre court was once also put to use on the slopes as a talented ski racer, having represented her country in slalom races.
She also donned the England shirt for England Lacrosse before deciding to focus on her netball career.
She is now able to balance her netball for Lightning with student life at Loughborough University.
