Player Bio
Jess Haynes is out to make her mark in her first season at Leeds Rhinos.
The circle defender signed up for Rhinos' 2025 campaign after two seasons as a regular with Severn Stars, helping her former team achieve history with an inaugural top-four finish in 2024.
They eventually lost to Manchester Thunder in that year's semi-final.
Haynes was selected into the new London Pulse franchise's first-ever Under 19 NPL squad at the age of 15, spending four years in the capital and winning the U21 league in 2018.
On the international front, the Kent native toured Australia with the England U17 squad that same year for matches in Canberra against the hosts and New Zealand.
In 2021, Haynes joined the Loughborough Lightning Academy and did not have to wait long before making her debut with the senior side, where she was part of the squad that defeated Team Bath in that year's Grand Final before finishing as runners-up to Thunder in 2022.
Away from the court, Haynes knows how to play the saxophone and enjoys dog walks with family and friends.
