Player Bio
Defender Jodie Gibson returns to the reigning Netball Super League champions ahead of the 2025 season where she will be hoping to hit the ground running.
From Bury, Greater Manchester, Gibson, who is comfortable at both goal defence and wing defence, began her career in 2011 with Manchester Thunder and won the 2012 NSL title.
She moved to Loughborough shortly after before joining Severn Stars in 2017.
It was during her time in the Midlands that Gibson won gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games with England on the Gold Coast.
In 2021, she joined London Mavericks where she was promoted to vice-captain in 2023.
While at Mavericks, Gibson was actively involved in coaching and working with the pathway program.
In 2024, she announced she would be leaving the club and thanked them for the growth she had made there as a player.
