Player Bio
Kira Rothwell knows just what it takes to be a Maverick.
After making her Netball Super League debut in 2019 for London Pulse, Rothwell moved to Mavericks ahead of the 2022 season and has been there ever since.
A standout 2023 saw the goal attack and goal shooter clinch the Fans Player of the Season award before shooting an 88% average in 2024 to solidify her position as a reliable part of the attacking line-up.
She has previously represented England U21 and England A, gaining invaluable experience through an Australia and New Zealand tour, whilst also winning the Netball Europe Championship in 2019.
Known for her speedy movement in and around the shooting circle, Rothwell thrives off the Maverick mentality of supporting your teammates every step of the way.
“I think being a Maverick is about more than just being a great netballer,” she said.
“From my experience, it’s about having good people around you who support each other, both on and off the court.
"It’s that kind of environment that ultimately helps us be our best when we’re out there playing.”
