Player Bio

Leah Middleton knows a thing or two about nailing a debut.

Her first season with LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons resulted in the Players’ Player of the Season award, voted for by her teammates in green.

Fast forward to the end of 2024 and Middleton was named Player of the Match on her Welsh Feathers debut in a win against Uganda.

Middleton’s foray into the Netball Super League came in 2020 when she donned the duck egg blue of Surrey Storm.

She stayed with Storm for four seasons, becoming a stalwart in their defence and helping them to a historic semi-finals place in 2023.

Middleton was born in Berkshire but jetted off to sunnier climes and grew up on the Gold Coast of Australia.

She first took up netball at Southport Carrara in Queensland aged 15 and had a stint as a training partner at Queensland Firebirds before signing with Surrey Storm.

Also making the trip over from Australia was her French Bulldog Franklin, who even has his own Instagram.

For the 2025 season, Middleton will take on the role of vice-captain alongside fellow English-born, Australian-raised player Elle McDonald.
