Lois Pearson is the jewel in the Manchester Thunder crown.
Pearson is Thunder through and through, rising through the club’s pathway from the age of 12 before becoming a key tenet of their attack in the Netball Super League.
The Bury-born goal attack, who has also impressed at wing attack, made her Super League debut in 2021 and was part of the Thunder side that went undefeated on their way to the 2022 title.
She then established herself as one of the first names on Karen Greig’s teamsheet in 2023, helping Thunder once again finish in the top four.
But 2024 was when Pearson showed that she was one of the Netball Super League’s finest talents, powering the Thunder attack to reach the Grand Final, where they finished runners-up.
Her individual performances were recognised, as she was voted 2024 Players’ Player of the Season and was included at goal attack in the All Star VII.
“Lois has been phenomenal for us, she has been in our pathway since she was 12, I’ve coached her since she was 13-14 years old,” said Greig.
“She is a real pro, and she is not one of these players that expects, she works really hard for what she does and hates the limelight."
Her stunning domestic form translated into a first senior call-up for the Vitality Roses in August 2024 ahead of Australia Test Series and Taini Jamison Trophy.
Pearson took like international netball like a duck to water, further cementing her place at the very top of the sport.
Her senior international debut was the culmination of a number of years in the Roses pathway, with Pearson representing England at the 2022 Fast5 World Netball Series.
She was then included in the Future Roses Programme before being elevated to the Vitality Roses Programme for 2024-25.
Away from the court, Pearson holds a degree in Mathematics and a Masters in Economics from the University of Manchester.
