Nat Panagarry is looking to make history this season as she attempts to win three consecutive NSL titles with Loughborough Lightning.
As captain, she led her team to back-to-back crowns in 2023 and 2024 and will once again lead her side throughout the 2025 campaign.
Panagarry continues to be one of the leading centres in the Netball Super League thanks to her high-energy performances, and was honoured by her fellow players with a place in the 2024 All Star VII at centre.
“Last season was again another phenomenal season for us as a club and a franchise and to lift that trophy was really special, particularly for the performance we did in the final,” she said. “It’s a clean slate again. We are going to get three in a row which hasn’t been done and that’s the aim."
Internationally, Panagarry represented the Vitality Roses at the 2019 Netball World Cup in Liverpool, winning a bronze medal.
She earned her first senior cap in 2016 against Australia having represented her country at Under-17 and Under-19 level.
Already a Netball Super League player by that stage with Yorkshire Jets alongside her university studies at Leeds Beckett, Panagarry then took a break from the sport before returning to play for Lightning under Karen Atkinson.
She said: “It was an unbelievable team for me to learn from and get back playing with some of the best netballers within this country."
Panagarry has grown to become a key part of the Lightning project ever since, and was named in the All Star VII at centre in 2019.
She won a first Super League title in 2021 before winning further victories in 2023 and 2024, meaning she is now eyeing a fourth Super League title in 2025.
Away from the court, Panagarry is an advocate for LGBT+ representation in sport.
She said: "I've always felt that I've been celebrated for who I am and that's how everyone should be," she said.
"We've all got differences, we're all unique and that should be something that we want to bring to the netball family and to the netball court.
"Netball, I think, is one of the most diverse [sports]. I'm always thankful for the netball community, Loughborough Lightning and the Vitality Roses for that."
