Player Bio

Taylor McKevitt is thriving for hometown team Manchester Thunder.

The Mancunian returned to Thunder ahead of the 2023 season, and has established herself as a key part of Karen Greig’s side at wing defence thanks to her boundless energy and keen eye for an interception.

McKevitt came through the Thunder pathway as a youth player before moving to London Pulse, where she made her debut in 2019.

Three seasons at Strathclyde Sirens followed, where McKevitt established herself as a Super League regular before she returned home to Thunder.

McKevitt was part of the Thunder sides that reached the play-offs in 2023 and the Grand Final in 2024, where they finished runners-up to Loughborough Lightning.

Internationally, McKevitt claimed Netball Europe gold with England Under-19s and also represented her country at the 2023 Fast5 World Netball Series in New Zealand, winning a bronze medal, having vice-captained the Fast5 side in 2022.

She is part of the Future Roses Programme and represented England A against Malawi, South Africa and Uganda in January 2025 as part of the Vitality Netball Nations Cup.

Off the court, McKevitt works as a medical writer after graduating with a degree in Biomedical Sciences and a Masters in Science Communication from the University of Manchester.

She also works as Head of Netball at the University of Manchester.
McKevitt is well known for her love of a pre-match TikTok, and can often be found creating content for Manchester Thunder’s social media channels having previously worked for the club in its marketing department.

“Social media is important,” she said. “TikTok isn’t necessarily a sales platform, but it is good to get names and branding out there and that can only help the exposure of the sport.”
